Of all our chimpanzees, Poco's history is perhaps the most tragic. He spent the first 9 years of his life in a cage suspended above a workshop in Burundi. Poco arrived to the Sanctuary in 1995 and has made great progress. Poco is one of our more gentle chimpanzees, and his bipedal swagger ensures he stands out!
